Logicon Building Systems Pvt. Ltd., is one of the very few companies in India who have in-house capabilities in designing and installing Water Based Fire Fighting Systems. The products / systems offered are:
1. Preaction Systems
Preaction Systems
A Preaction system 'Cross-Zones' a Fire Detection system with a Pneumatic system, to ascertain a fire situation, and then floods the affected area with water.
In a preaction system the pipelines are pre-charged with pressurized air. Water is held from the piping by an electrically actuated solenoid. The solenoid is activated by an alarm signal and water is distributed to the site after a sprinkler is heat activated.
Logicon offers Single Knock and Double Pre-action systems.
2. Sprinkler Systems
A Fire Sprinkler System is an active fire protection measure, consisting of a water supply, providing adequate pressure and flow rate to a water distribution piping system, onto which fire sprinklers are connected. Automatic fire sprinkler systems are increasingly installed in modern buildings. Even where building codes do not require these systems, knowledgeable and responsible professionals recognize the exceptional value of automatic on-site fire suppression. Sprinkler based protection systems economically reduce the loss of life and property from fire. Sprinkal system
3. Hydrant Systems (Fixed Fire Fighting Systems)
Hydrant system In a Hydrant system, the Pipelines are kept pressurized with water. Whenever anyone opens a hydrant valve, the pressure in the pipeline reduces drastically and jockey pump set which normally keeps the total system pressurized is unable to cope with the system demand, resulting in further fall in pressure. This fall in pressure is sensed by a pressure switch which automatically starts the main fire pump set. If designed correctly, the system will extinguish the fire rapidly enabling operations to be re-started following removal of the fire source.
